ClickBook 2.0 for Macintosh OS 6,7,8,9
Q:  Why doesnt ClickBook come up when I try to print to it?
A:
If ClickBook had previously been working and now fails, the ClickBook prefs folder has probably been corrupted or contains a corrupt spool file. To correct this, select the System Folder / Preferences folder / ClickBook Prefs Folder and drag it into the trash. Empty the trash. Open the ClickBook standalone application and redo Printer Setup. Close ClickBook and try the print job again. If ClickBook has never come up or will not come up with a certain application, select the ClickBook Always Active option in the ClickBook Setup Control Panel. If these steps fail, remove ClickBook from the system and reinstall with extensions off. To remove ClickBook from the system make sure that you remove all components, including the Control Panel item located in the Control Panel folder in the System Folder, the ClickBook Prefs Folder located in the Preferences folder also found in the System folder, and the ClickBook application folder. You should then restart the Mac with extensions off and reinstall the application.

Q:  Why during installation do I get a disk full error even though there is plenty of disk space available?
A:  ClickBook's self installer will sometimes default back to the last drive that was used by the system, so it may be attempting to install onto a diskette. You can change the Copy To destination in the drop down list at the top of the installer dialog.

Q:  Why does ClickBook give an error message that it does not know my printer, even though I have done the printer setup already?
A:  The error message actually indicates that ClickBook does not know the currently selected layout for the printer you have chosen. To correct this you need to open ClickBook in printing or standalone mode and go to the Modify Layout tab. On this tab click the Page Setup button. When you see the Page Setup dialog, make sure the orientation is correct for the current layout and click OK. You will then see the Print dialog. Click the Print button (although nothing is actually going to print at this time). After the Print dialog clears, click the Save button on the ClickBook Modify Layout tab. Then try the print job again.

Q:  Why do I get odd or unexpected results when using ClickBook with a new layout or new printer driver?
A:  This may be caused by ClickBook not fully understanding your printer with the selected layout. To correct this, follow the steps for question #4 above.

Q:  Why does the Use ClickBook option not appear or does not work correctly in my applications Page Setup Dialog?
A:  Some printer drivers and some applications use non-standard Page Setup dialogs. To correct this problem, select the ClickBook Always Active option in the ClickBook Setup Control Panel.

Q:  I have read the FAQ that ClickBook 2.0 is not certified for OS 9.1. I have also read that there is a workaround by installing ClickBook on an OS prior to 9.1 or higher. My problem is that I do not have access to an OS prior to 9.1, how do I install ClickBook on Mac OS 9.1 or higher?
A:  Here are the steps to install ClickBook 2.0 on Mac OS 9.1 or higher:

1- Load ClickBook 2.0 on your OS 9.1 or higher.
2- Delete the "ClickBook Control Panel" from the control panels menu.
*3- Install ClickBook 2.0 on an OS prior to 9.1.
4- Copy the "ClickBook Control Panel" from the control panels menu on Mac running the OS prior to 9.1 to the control panels menu on the Mac running OS 9.1 or higher.
5- Restart your Mac. You should now be able to print using ClickBook.
