Grab-a-Site 5.0 for Win 98/ME/NT/2K/XP/Vista/W7
Q: Why do image map links not work properly? A: There are two types of image maps, Server-side
and Client-side. When you click on a Server-side
image map, your cursor's coordinates are sent to
the Web server. That Web server is running a
program that interprets those coordinates and
uses that information to determine what to send
to your Web browser. You can whack and view a
Server-side image, but it will not work correctly
because the Web server program cannot run on your
computer.
A Web page containing a Client-side image map
contains all of the information necessary to
determine what to do when you click on a
particular location within the image. That page
will be whacked and viewed correctly, so you can
use any Client-side image map.
If an image map does not work correctly after
whacking, it is probably a Server-side image map.
The creator of that Web page can convert it to a
Client-side image map.

Q: Will Grab-a-Site download pages that are in
different languages? A: Grab-a-Site will usually be able to save the
pages on your hardrive, but it usually will not
be able to change the links so that you can
browse from your hardrive. This also depends how
the site lists the links on their web pages.

Q: Is there a way that Grab-a-Site can just download
updated or new information without downloading
the whole site again?
A: Yes, the new Grab-a-Site 5.0 has a Refresh button which will download only pages that have changed and follow new links.
